Caverswall minerals was started in 1970 by Paul and June , Paul was a school teacher with an interest in lapidary and started selling rough rock ,grits and machines under the name Caverswall Mineral,Caverswall being the name of the small village in Staffordshire where they were based.
As time went on more and more customers kept asking for jewellery settings that they could put there newly cut stones into , and so they started a small range of base metal and silver settings and findings.
This range took off very well and so it was added to a bit at a time untill the rough rock etc was stopped and we concentrated mainly on the jewelry settings and mounts.
Today we have probably the most extensive range anywhere of unset silver and gold jewelery settings , mounts , blanks and findings all polished and ready to set or glue your own stones into.
We now ship wordwide and our mounts are used to fit some of the worlds most sought after semi precious stones from Whitby jet , Derbyshire blue john , Canadian ammolite , Newzealand pounamu , Australian opal , Baltic Amber and many types of marble plus many many others
